user2019   Scholarships

useR! 2019 is proud to propose a diversity scholarship program. The program aims at providing a financial help to members of underrepresented or historically marginalized groups in the R community who may not otherwise be able to attend our conference for financial reasons. We would like to thank Julien Cornebise and Jo-Fai Chow who gave up their invited grants for the diversity scholarship fund.

Our target is to award as many scholarships as our funding allows, providing recipients full access to the conference.

The useR! 2019 Diversity Scholarship committee will review applications based on eligibility, need and impact. The useR! 2019 diversity scholarship will include:

  • A grant for travel and subsistence (reimbursement based on invoice after the participation to the conference)
  • A free registration ticket for the conference (including tutorials and Gala dinner)
