Getting Started

R is a free software environment for statistical computing and graphics. It compiles and runs on a wide variety of UNIX platforms, Windows and MacOS. To download R, please choose your preferred CRAN mirror.

R 4.4.3 (codename "Trophy Case") is released.

This is intended to be the round-up release of the 4.4.x series.

It also happens to be as close as we can get to celebrating 25 years since R-1.0.0.

Binaries for various platforms will appear in due course.

UseR! 2025 Call for Proposals is now open! We invite R users and developers from around our region and the world to submit abstracts for useR! 2025.
Deadline: Monday 3rd March 2025

useR! will be held from August 8th to 10th at Duke University in Durham, NC, USA.
